Leila the Bum Feeler is on her hols in sunny Egypt (don’t forget the duty frees!!) so you have me to update you on the news, views and gossip from the salon!
Curl up and Dye has been featured in the interiors section of the Hairdresser’s Journal (the industry magazine). Unfortunately there is no online link but if you pop by the salon we have copies everywhere!!
In the next couple of weeks we should hear if we have made through to the finals of The HJ Business Awards. After the recent glowing write up of the salon and Leila’s impressive creations there is no reason why we shouldn’t storm it and if we don’t the judges wouldn’t know a fabulous salon if it smacked them in the face (or they have been bribed).
NEWS FROM THE GOOD LIFE
After the recent heat wave our lovely ladies have started laying again. For about a week the eggs production dropped to 4 a day but they have upped their game.
If you have rescue chickens that are a bit on the bald side, keep an eye on them. One of my girls, Grace, got a wee bit of sun burn but she now has extra strength sun block.
Luke and I have sampled this years Elderflower Champagne….woo hoo what a wonderful year 2009 was!! If you fancy a sample ask Luke at your next appointment!
The Allotment has been supplying us with all sorts of lovely produce. The early potatoes and salad potatoes are particularly good this year. The cucumber plants are going mad and I think we will have a bumper crop of tomatoes.
In the coming days we should have some tasty chard for sale in the salon and the raspberries look like they are coming along marvellously.
